Cuban Genealogy
How to research your Cuban roots using online resources, DNA testing, and social media. How to develop the most effective strategy for doing challenging research in Cuba using parish records, cemetery records and other online sources. We will also discuss the future of offline sources coming online soon.

Brian Tosko Bello is the Director of Digital Cuba, a nonprofit startup to preserve Cuban culture and heritage through digitization projects. He has conducted workshops and seminars to create awareness of the need to preserve historical records.

He is a creative collaborative that lives in Washington, D.C. As Brian writes: “If I were to sum up my career experience, I would say that at my core, I am a storyteller. Telling stories with financial data sets, genealogy records or ways to stay on a low carb diet! “

Digital Cuba launched the Cuban Genealogy Podcast in August 2018 to create awareness of the need to preserve all historical documents with genealogical significance. Digital Cuba: http://digitalcuba.org
