¡Pleibol! - Pueblo: Community Through Baseball Zoom Presentation July 7, 5pm PDT

¡Pleibol! In the Barrios and the Big Leagues is a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institute currently on view at El Pueblo History Museum. ¡Pleibol! details the history of Latinas/os in baseball across the United States, and how their love for the game and incredible talent changed the sport and transformed American culture.

Join us on July 7 for an in-depth conversation about the creation of this exhibit and the history of Latinos/as in baseball with Margaret Salazar-Porzio, the curator of Latinx History and Culture at the Smithonian’s National Museum of American History, and Salvadore Acuna, a local baseball organizational consultant and team coach at the Runyon Sports Complex Commission.

Also presenting are El Pueblo staff members Jose Ortega and Marisa Lopez, and Dianne Archuleta, the Director of El Pueblo History Museum.

A second in-person event, detailing the history of baseball in Pueblo, will be hosted at El Pueblo History Museum on July 21.
