the annual volunteers’ reenactment of Helen Hunt Jackson’s January 1882
visit to Camulos, now the Rancho Camulos National Historic
Landmark. Jackson's visit inspired her to include this vestige of
the Californio lifestyle as one of the settings for her 1884 novel Ramona. Her story is
still relevant today. Re-enactors will engage and delight you. Due to
COVID-19 restrictions, this year's performance will be streamed virtually,
followed by a live Q&A.
